Slovak National Product Design Award 2019
The Slovak Design Center, Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic and Slovak National Museum recently awarded our design project TORSUS PRAETORIAN with Slovak National Product Design Award 2019.
Project description
Torsus Praetorian 4×4 is an all-terrain bus designed for the transport of people and equipment in the most demanding off-road conditions. The vehicle design by the WERKEMOTION design studio is based on the technical basis of MAN trucks. The vehicle is made in SLovakia, in the village Horné Srnie. In addition to the basid design, the studio has designed over 20 variations with uniquely tailored features to meet the needs of rescue missions, for use as a medical, fire and a security vehicle.
The Jury´s Evaluation
The design of the all-terrain bus is, in the Slovak context, an unforgettable design act worthy of attention. The jury appreciated the complexity of the project solution, which, with its scope, commands respect and brings a valuable result in the field of transport design.
