WERKEMOTION continues its dynamic partnership with the Fesh Fesh Dakar Team into the 2024 racing season. This year, the collaboration hasresulted in the innovative TATRA FF7 4×4 New Gen – a cutting-edge rally truck built on the proven Tatra chassis, featuring the Tatra 815 cabin and powered by a formidable Volvo D13 engine.
The TATRA FF7 represents a significant evolution in design and performance and differs from previous models in its front-controlled cab configuration.

02. Design Process
Development
The design process focused on creating a bold and distinctive aesthetic that sets the truck apart from competitors, while meeting the extreme demands of the Dakar Rally. This seamless collaboration ensured that the exterior design harmonized with the vehicle’s technical innovations, including its forward-control cab configuration, optimized weight distribution, and improved service accessibility. The result is a visually striking and functionally robust rally truck, embodying the spirit of innovation and endurance required for the world’s most challenging race.
Design Concept
WERKEMOTION designers prepared precise 3D models to facilitate the production of robust carbon-Kevlar body panels. These components, designed to withstand the extreme conditions of the Dakar Rally, required a meticulous balance of lightweight construction and exceptional durability. The comprehensive design data ensured seamless integration between the conceptual design and manufacturing processes, enabling the creation of a highly functional and resilient exterior for the rally truck.
Livery Design and Manufacturing
WERKEMOTION created a cohesive livery design for the entire Fesh Fesh Dakar Team fleet, unifying the vehicles under a striking visual identity that prominently features the colors and branding of the team's main sponsor, Ostra Group. The design uses bold contrasts and sleek patterns to ensure the fleet stands out in the world's most challenging rally. From initial concept to detailed production data, WERKEMOTION oversaw the entire process, providing manufacturers with precise specifications for the vehicle wraps.
03. Design development
Sketch and 3D development
The design development of the TATRA FF7 4×4 New Gen was driven by the ambition to seamlessly merge the vehicle’s demanding technical requirements with a bold, radical aesthetic that would shock and stand out among other racing specials. The process began with hand-drawn sketches, evolving through 3D concept modelling and close collaboration with Fesh Fesh engineers to ensure the design aligned perfectly with the truck’s engineering framework. Every detail was fine-tuned through the optimization of 3D CAD models, paving the way for precise production data. This meticulous approach resulted in a groundbreaking design that not only meets the extreme demands of the Dakar Rally but also redefines the visual identity of the Fesh Fesh fleet.
