DESIGN PROCESS
00
INTRO + DEAL
4-8 WEEKS
goal: Establishing a foundation for collaboration by aligning on details and vision.
01 ━ GET A QUOTE FORM
TAKES UP TO 3MIN
Brief online questionnaire
Getting the essential information about your project.
We will get back to you within 1 week after submitting.
02 ━ FIRST VIDEO CALL
AROUND 45MIN
Specification of the project
This step is crucial to fully understand your product and prepare the quote.
We will dive a bit deeper into your project, however still briefly and effectively.
03 ━ QUOTATION
2 WEEKS
A draft of quotation – we will provide you with one specifically for the scope of your project.
3 pricing packages for further selection
There is space for explanation of the costs via email communication or calls.
Based on our experience, the quotation will be set within 2-4 weeks.
04 ━ DEAL
1 WEEK
A contract proposal from us within one week from agreeing on pricing package.
05 ━ INSIGHTer MEETING
ONLINE / IN PERSON
Detailed set of questions tailored to completely understand your product and clarify the visions
Collecting documentation (2D and 3D data) from you – manuals and materials needed to start the creative process.
Key values – we will set them for the project together.
01
CONCEPT DESIGN
11-15 WEEKS
goal: creating new recognisable design
REGULAR COORDINATION MEETINGS
Video calls throughout the whole process
These update calls are crucial to agree
on the design dev at every step.
2 PERSONAL PRESENTATIONS
1st: Start of the creative phase
2nd: Finalized outcome
06 ━ CLIENT'S DATA SORTING
2 WEEKS (depends on cooperation)
Processing documentation, manuals and materials (collected in Point 05) needed for the creative process.
After this step the project is ready to get started.
07 ━ KICK OFF
OPTIONAL
Kick off meeting – if needed, it serves to clarify collected information and start the project.
08 ━ DESIGN STRATEGY
2 WEEKS
ANALYSIS
Exploring the competition and making an appropriate outcome analysis.
Questioning the status quo of user experience and product’s functions.
research, mood boards
SYNTHESIS
Finding and defining outlines of the new design language for your product – setting key visual elements.
This step is a part of every project and as an outcome of it we have internal visual materials as a base for first design sketches.
09 ━ SKETCH DEVELOPMENT
4-6 WEEKS (POINTS 9-10)
Visualizing the identity
We are drawing the designs directly on the architecture of your product giving it new expression.
Our designers use both paper and digital sketching – each has its specific advantages for designing.
10 ━ CONCEPT MODELS
Identity in 3D
We design 3D models to visualize new identity of the product in another dimension.
Those are data without production elements.
11 ━ LIVERY DESIGN
2-3 WEEKS (Points 11-12)
Design of the final outer surface – Important element included in the identity development
12 ━ VISUALIZATIONS
Presenting the identity
How the design evolved through sketches, models and regular validation meetings.
13 ━ DIGITAL PRESENTATION
1-2 WEEKS
Complete concept design – PDF doc
02
PROTOTYPE DESIGN
goal: creating manufacturing data and documentation
In cooperation with constructors
14 ━ 3D MODELS / SURFACES
3D DATA (from point 10) containing production elements
3D CAD/CAS Nurbs surfaces of all visible design styling parts based on selected concept design models from the Phase 01
Revisions – Involves inputs and remarks from your engineering team and manufacturing suppliers
Final definition design covers trimming – In cooperation with client’s engineering/production supplier and client’s team
Final design styling of accesses to maintenance areas – In cooperation with client’s engineering/production supplier and client’s team
15 ━ LIVERY DESIGN
Document /stand alone (.pdf), RAL code definitions, Livery/pictograms positioning, surface finishing.
16 ━ VISUALIZATIONS
For defining remarks, iterations and applying them to 3D models
For surfaces highlight simulations and overall design proportions check
Initial marketing content
17 ━ DIGITAL PRESENTATION
PDF Doc
Contains Development monitoring presentation
and final project presentation.
0X
LONGTERM COLLABORATION
18 ━ APPLYING DESIGN IDENTITY
After a successfully created design identity for the initial product (Phase 01: Concept Design – Phase 02: Prototype Design), the next step is to expand it across the entire product portfolio.
19 ━ NEW PRODUCT PORTFOLIO GENERATIONS
